I love pixel animation cause it’s basically an exercise in abstraction.
(Sorry I only animated half of yesterday’s image, doing running in photoshop is really tedious.)
A mockup of a game I have in mind. You’re a spy trying to get across town while avoiding enemy gunfire. The trick is that you also have to minimize civilian casualties by pushing them out of the line of fire or taking bullets for them. (I tried to make the hero look like Harry Palmer. :P)
Hieronymus Bosch should honestly be required viewing for any surreal/fantasy artist. Here we are 500 years later trying to reinvent the wheel when he already came up with super weird stuff like this!
Fomori after a tough fight.
(I promise I’ll get tired of these two eventually.)
Yesterday’s fomori, in pixel art form. I really like the spartan color theme.
I realized a lot of what I wanted out of my drawing yesterday already existed in this character design by ovens, so I redrew that and then drew a general figure next to it to figure out what I liked. I hope she doesn’t mind! :O
Oh and if you like awesome drawing but aren’t already following ovens, you should seriously get with the times, daddy-o. (Note - sometimes NSFW if that bothers you)
Took a dabble of traditional fomorian and added two spoonfuls of Forgotten Realms fomorian, cooked on high drow for ten minutes and got this. Still not totally content with the product but it’s a start.
It’s very chthonian Lilo, isn’t it?
